Brazed plate heat exchangers are nowadays the most efficient heat transfer method. The basic concept behind these heat exchangers is the use of brazed plates made of pure copper (Cu 99.9%).
Thermokey developed a new project which makes systems safer: Thermokey models, with their compact design and high performances, are safer and more affordable than other kinds of heat exchangers. Moreover their small dimensions and volume allow for a reduction of the volumes and dimensions of the adjoining components of the system, which will very likely turn out to be smaller and less expensive too.
Furthermore, reducing the volume in a refrigeration system is also a positive factor for the environment: since approximately 95% of the materials are used in the heat exchange process, very little thermic energy is lost in the environment. Owing to the small dimensions of the heat exchanger, the combined heat dispersion due to radiation and convection is the lowest possible.
These heat exchangers are made of herringbone embossed pattern plates made of stainless steel and assembled together: between the plates there are two channels, one for the hot and one for the cold fluid.
With its nine models, two of which are double circiut, Thermokey renews its successful offer to the market with several models coming in different dimensions, number of plates from 10 to 400 and a wide selection of connections grant the possibility of finding the optimum solution for any kind of application in air conditioning, refrigeration and process industries applications. Thermokey brazed plates heat exchangers are produced with state of the art technology and are tested very accurately. The capacity range varies from 5 to 600kW. Each heat exchanger undergoes pressure tests on the refrigerant side (even differentiated if the heat exchanger has more than one circuit) and on the water side: tests values are done according to Thermokey standards or to the standards suggested by the acting Omologation norms.
Since these heat exchangers are to be considered pressure vessels, their safety requirements are guaranteed by the respect of the primary European norms at the projecting stage, in the choice and in the use of the materials, in the construction and control stages, in the pressure tests and in the final documentation provided.
The catalogue shows pressure and temperature working limits according to the various models offered.
